Enlarged Prostate Signs

What are enlarged prostate signs and does it mean I have cancer?

Symptoms of an enlarged prostate include

  1. Urinating more often than every two hours during the day
  2. Getting up to urinate more than once while sleeping
  3. Thinking you have to urinate but can’t
  4. Not feeling that you emptied your bladder when you did urinate
  5. Starting and stopping while you are urinating

Only tests can diagnose if you have prostate cancer.  If you are having any of these signs then schedule an appointment with your doctor  immediately.

You may have what is called BPH or benign prostatic hyperplasia.

BPH As a mans get older the prostate can grow causing the prostate gland to press on the bladder and causes more frequent urination.

You may have Prostatitis which in an infection of the prostate.

Symptoms include many of the above listed you may also experience pain or burning during urination, chills and fever, pelvic pain,  pain while having intercourse, or lower back and or abdomen pain. Again your doctor will do tests to determine whether or not you have an infection.
